Jeff Surfing Lake Superior
Halloween
On Halloween, we went to Cameron and Julie's house so Vincent could go Trick-or-Treating with his cousins. He had so much fun riding in the wagon with Payton and getting lots of candy. He even said "Trick-or-Treat" once and "Thank You" a few times. Our pumpkins looked cute outside of Julie's house. Linda's was especially adorable.

Halloween Party
Our 2008 Halloween Party was the biggest Holt bash yet. We didn't even have enough chairs! The food was ridiculously good, including bloody finger punch and gummy wormed caramel apples. And the costumes were incredible. Bob Ross, Elvis (the "fat" version), Barbie, The Blue Man Group, Zorro, Speed Racer, and Ed McMan (sp?) were some of the A-List Celebrities that showed up. We also had a geisha, a sailor, a ceiling fan ("Go, fan, go!"), a classic witch, a plug and outlet, and of course the ten million dollar Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes winner. Really, people went all out! We had fun playing "Signs" and "Two Truths and a Lie." We definitely want to squish a whole bunch of people into our tiny living room again next year!!!

Apple Jack Orchard
Cameron and Julie invited us (along with Birch and Linda) to go to Apple Jack Orchard in Delano to pick apples. Vincent had the time of his life! He got to ride a pony, which he absolutely loved. He loves to say "neigh, neigh" all the time now. He also got to ride in, pull, and push a wagon around, which was way more fun than actually picking the apples apparently. The best part was that there were tractors driving around! Boy did those have him excited! The adults enjoyed actually picking the apples and munching on some insanely good apple donuts. I definitely want to do this again next year!

Duluth
Last weekend, our family drove the two hour commute to Duluth so Jeff could go surfing on Lake Superior. As you can see, Vincent was wearing a sweatshirt. It wasn't exactly warm, but Jeff claims he was perfectly warm in the freezing cold water thanks to his "you might as well BE a skeleton" wetsuit (pictured above). After the surfing session, we ate at Hell's Kitchen. The food was super good. The place was all painted in black and red and the servers would come to the table and say, "My name is so-and-so and I'll be your hellian today." It was totally cool, but we had left the camera in the car a few blocks away so we didn't get any pics. Next time. . .
